Dr Bhavna Parikh earned her MBBS and MD degrees from Seth G S Medical College, KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India in 1993. She joined department of Medical Oncology at prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in 1993 and received specialized training in diagnosis and treatments, including chemotherapy and Targeted therapy for various adult cancers occurring in different parts of body like Breast, lung, colon, stomach, ovaries, uterus, head and neck, brain etc.
She managed various complicated and challenging patients during her training at Tata Memorial Hospital. She visited Royal Marsden Hospital, UK for further training in gastro intestinal cancers.
She is very active in various international, national and regional oncology conferences.
She keeps herself updated about all new medications and treatments for cancer.
She also offers Immunotherapy to appropriate patients.
She has multiple scientific publications to her credit in national and international oncology journals.
She is a member of Indian Society of Medical and Peadiatric Oncology, American Society of clinical oncology, European society of Medical Oncology, Association of Medical Consultants and Indian Medical Association.
She strongly believes in providing comprehensive cancer care with empathy and honesty.
She co-ordinates with various other specialists like Oncopathologist, Radiologist, Surgical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist, counsellors and Palliative care consultant based on patient’s requirement. This helps to provide one stop solution for comprehensive cancer care for adults.
She provides Chemotherapy, Targeted Therapy and Immunotherapy as appropriate. She uses Genomic profile of tumours so as to provide personalized and precise treatment (as and when applicable).
She also provides care for Familial cancers (cancers running in families).
